Verena Andrea Prenner was born and raised in Austria.

She initially pursued photography but later shifted her focus to sociology, completing her Master’s degree. During this time, she began translating her sociological insights into staged photography, exploring themes of social structures, power dynamics, and marginalization.

Her work combines documentary approaches with performative and symbolic elements.
